The Farmers' Market provides customers with locally produced meats, baked goods, fresh produce, and other foods and arts & crafts. Some of the best bakers and food vendors in the Valley showcase their tasty wares prepared with care for your table.
The Market was first established in the early 1900's, and over time flourished as an economic pillar of the Pembroke community. Temporarily closed for some time in the 1980's, and was re-established in 1992.Over the past 14 years, the Market has grown steadily under the guidance of a Vendors' Association and the City of Pembroke.
The approximately 5,000 square feet building is strategically located near the waterfront, boardwalk and downtown businesses. 3,400 square feet of this space is dedicated to providing cover for our vendors. Approximately one-third of the structure contains washrooms, a canteen, an enclosed sales area (for vendors with meats) and a customer seating area. Overall, this will help attract more customers of the Farmers' Market, and in general will bring more shoppers to downtown Pembroke.
