Jenny Brophy
Original Bead Designs ~ Created by: Jenny Brophy

I design unique and timeless, one-of-a-kind necklaces, bracelets and earrings, as well as brooches and other beaded items.  A variety of quality materials are used: semi-precious stones, fresh-water pearls, crystal, glass, resin, hand-made lampwork beads, wooden and vintage beads, silver, brass, copper and nickel-free base metals.

My passion for creating constantly brings me to new ideas and new materials with which to work.  Intricate wire wrapped pieces have been my signature for a number of years, and most recently I have begun sculpting brooches and pendants from polymer clay.

No two Jennicajems creations are ever alike, so you won't see yourself wearing what everyone else has on!  Found objects and vintage components make my jewelry unique, as do my colour and texture combinations.  A variety of styles are presented to suit nearly everyone's taste.  Hand-crafted jewelry always makes a lovely gift, and I am happy to assist in the choosing.  I very much enjoy one-on-one with my customers and also appreciate their input!

If you have old or broken pieces sitting in your jewel box, bring them to me.  I can often give something a new look and enjoy that creative challenge.

I also do custom orders and have experience doing jewelry for brides and wedding parties.

History of My Business

I have been creating original jewelry for about eight years, but designing wearable art has been a passion since  I was a little girl. Very soon after discovering the art of beading,  I began selling my creations, first at shows in Kingston, Ontario, where I resided before I moved to Pembroke.  I then successfully presented my work in a number of stores in Kingston, Westport and Merrickville, as well as the Kingston Farmers' Market.

Since moving to Pembroke two years ago, I have happily been a member of the Pembroke Farmers' Market community, where my wearable art has been well received.  I also sell in a number of stores and galleries in Renfrew County.
